Yogurt sealing aluminum foil is made from soft (O-temper) aluminum alloys, mainly from the 8000 series, which provide excellent formability, puncture resistance, and food safety.
8011 Alloy: Most commonly used. Offers high tensile strength and good formability for high-speed die-cutting and stamping. Cost-effective while maintaining excellent barrier performance.
8079 Alloy: Selected when higher flexibility, thinner gauges, or superior overall barrier performance is required.
Yogurt lid foil is not a single aluminum sheet but a carefully engineered multilayer composite system. The most common structure is three layers: PET / AL / heat-seal layer (PE or EVA).
